Solar Oven - micro:bit version

Discover the power of the sun with the Vittascience Connected Solar Oven!

Reach temperatures of up to 150°C using solar energy with this educational oven that you assemble yourself. Entirely designed in France from laser-cut poplar wood sourced from eco-managed forests, this project combines eco-design, programming, and energy autonomy.

The kit includes an illustrated educational booklet explaining the assembly steps, how the solar oven works, and several experimental activities related to measurement and energy, as well as the following items:

• Laser-cut poplar wood panels,
• 1 polycarbonate window,
• 1 reflector sheet to cut out,
• 4 self-adhesive reflective films for the inside of the oven,
• 1 self-adhesive seal, 1 pair of scissors, and 1 roll of adhesive tape,
• 1 complete electronics kit including:
  • 1 micro:bit V2 board,
  • 1 BitMaker shield for micro:bit,
  • 1 Grove LCD screen (32 characters),
  • 1 Grove SI1145 sensor (visible light, UV, IR),
  • 1 Grove high-temperature sensor,
  • 1 Grove I2C multi-port connector (6 ports),
  • 1 OpenLog module for recording data on a microSD card,
  • 1 microSD card (128 MB) and 1 USB adapter.
